Concho Valley Home for Girls
Since 1973, the Home has offered girls from troubled homes an opportunity to overcome the hurts of the past. Our program provides a home-like atmosphere, and “family” activities—holiday celebrations, family outings, etc.—are emphasized. The girls go to public schools and attend the church of their choice. Development of responsibility and self-sufficiency are encouraged, with the goal of making this season of their lives both happy and productive. CVHG is licensed by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services as a basic care facility to serve up to 23 children aged 9 to 17.

Children’s Emergency Shelter
When children are removed from their homes because of abuse or neglect, there hasn’t usually been time to arrange a new place for them to live permanently. That means they need a haven that will keep them |
safe and help them deal with the pain of removal. Short term residential care is needed for other situations, too. Parents can be prevented from caring for their children by an unexpected medical crisis or other family emergency. Sometimes an unsupervised child is found by police officers and no responsible adult can be |
located. For over twenty years, the Children’s Emergency Shelter has provided refuge for cases like these, accommodating up to 10 children at any one time The Shelter is licensed by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services |
